Deliver Practical, Real-Life Therapy in Patients’ Homes
@Home Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide in-home services across New York City. This role focuses on helping adult patients improve their ability to safely and independently manage daily activities within their own living environments.
You’ll have the opportunity to evaluate, treat, and guide patients using personalized strategies that directly impact their day-to-day function.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Implementation of Therapy Plans:
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Support patients in practicing functional daily living skills.
Hands-On Functional Support:
- Assist with self-care tasks such as dressing, grooming, and routine household activities.
- Reinforce safe movement and activity techniques in the home setting.
Patient Observation & Reporting:
- Monitor patient response to therapy and report progress to the supervising OT.
- Communicate any functional changes or concerns.
Caregiver Instruction Support:
- Reinforce caregiver education provided by the supervising clinician.
- Help ensure consistency of therapy strategies between visits.
Documentation;
- Complete visit notes using a digital EMR system.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:
- Active New York State Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience with adult or geriatric populations preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a home care environment .
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
- Comfort using EMR systems.
